On-Site DBA & Database Consulting

Planned on-site and hybrid database engagements for organizations that value face-to-face collaboration, controlled access, security alignment, and accountable delivery.

Confidence and trust, built face to face

Bring senior database expertise directly into your organization. OneClickDBA offers planned on-site engagements for customers who prefer in-person collaboration, require work to be performed within controlled premises, or have policies that restrict remote access.

Remote delivery remains efficient for many requests, but it is not the right starting point for every organization. An on-site engagement lets your team meet the specialist responsible for the work, establish trusted procedures, and address sensitive or business-critical database initiatives within your own environment.

Remote efficiency when appropriate. On-site confidence when it matters.

Why work with us on site?

  • Meet the database specialist responsible for the engagement
  • Align directly with database, application, infrastructure, security, and management stakeholders
  • Build a shared understanding of technical objectives and operational constraints
  • Perform sensitive work from customer-controlled premises
  • Accommodate policies that limit or prohibit external remote access
  • Accelerate architecture, migration, recovery, and production-readiness decisions
  • Transfer practical knowledge directly to your internal team
  • Establish a trusted working relationship before continuing remotely

Security and customer-controlled access

On-site work can be adapted to your organization’s access and security procedures. Depending on the engagement, this may include:

  • Customer-provided workstations or approved equipment
  • Customer-managed networks, VPNs, bastion hosts, or privileged-access systems
  • Least-privilege, time-limited, and role-based access
  • Supervised access where required
  • Customer change-management and approval procedures
  • Identity verification and named-person access
  • Non-disclosure and confidentiality agreements
  • Audit logging and documented technical actions
  • No copying of customer data unless explicitly authorized
  • Removal or revocation of temporary access when the engagement ends

The customer retains control of its systems, credentials, data, and approval process throughout the engagement.

Security onboarding and clearances

OneClickDBA can participate in customer-required identity verification, security onboarding, background screening, confidentiality agreements, and access-approval procedures, subject to the requirements, eligibility, and lead time of each engagement.

If your organization requires a specific clearance, certification, training course, or screening process, include that information when requesting the engagement. We will confirm feasibility before dates and travel are finalized.

On-site, remote, or hybrid delivery

An engagement can be delivered entirely on site or through a hybrid model. A typical hybrid engagement begins with face-to-face discovery, security onboarding, system assessment, and stakeholder workshops. Implementation, analysis, or ongoing support can then continue remotely once the customer is comfortable with the people, access model, and working procedures.

The delivery model is agreed before work begins and can be adjusted to the technical scope and your organization’s policies.

What you can expect

  • A named specialist assigned before travel
  • Agreed scope, objectives, and expected outcomes
  • Direct coordination with the relevant stakeholders
  • Respect for customer access and change-control procedures
  • Clear communication during the engagement
  • Documented findings, actions, and recommendations
  • Knowledge-transfer and handover where applicable
  • Closure of temporary access after the work is completed

Rates, travel, and booking

On-site professional work is billed at the standard OneClickDBA service rate. There is no separate premium simply because the work is delivered on site.

The customer is responsible for the agreed travel-related costs required for the engagement, including:

  • Flights, rail, or other long-distance transportation
  • Hotel accommodation
  • Local transportation
  • Meals during the trip

Travel arrangements and the expected budget are reviewed and approved before bookings are made. Where practical, the customer may book travel directly; otherwise, pre-approved expenses are charged at cost with the appropriate supporting documentation. The treatment of travel time, cancellation, and rescheduling is defined in the engagement proposal before confirmation.

Advance notice and preferred days

  • Request on-site work at least three weeks in advance
  • Weekend working days are preferred and subject to availability
  • Security onboarding, background screening, visas, or customer clearances may require additional lead time
  • Dates are confirmed after the scope, access requirements, and travel arrangements have been agreed
